Rallye FF 4000 Compact auxiliary driving lamps are designed for use on mining support function vehicles that operate both on public roads and on mine sites. Suitable for 24V and 12V electrical systems. Good lighting is essential to create a safe and productive illumination of the road, enabling drivers to clearly see and identify any hazards in time to take the required action. The Rallye FF 4000 Compact is engineered to deliver excellent lighting under continuous use in the extreme environmental conditions encountered in mining applications. Rallye FF 4000 Compact Series driving lamps successfully combine powerful light output and durability with compact overall dimensions that suit the majority of bull-bars on most modern off-road and light commercial vehicles. Newly developed ‘high-boost’ Free-Form optics with clear lens reduce light scatter and improve beam control. ECE approved spread and fog beam distribution types are available to suit the actual auxiliary lamp requirements for vehicles operating on both mine sites and public roads. Other beam options can be supplied as special orders. Rallye FF 4000 Compact optical modules comprise of a precision-moulded specular reflector with integral lamp holder permanently assembled to a corrosion resistant, hardened clear lens, ensuring perfect focus of each unit. (See technical section for more information on Hella’s applications engineering service.) Hella has integrated a basic version of the patented MustADD® filter into the Rallye FF 4000 Compact Series to ensure that the optical system remains virtually dust free over the product’s life in the adverse atmospheres typically encountered in mining. (See technical section for more information.) Safe and reliable electrical connection is facilitated via a short length of highly flexible double insulated cable terminated with DT connectors. Other connector options can be supplied as special orders. The high-quality clear glass lens and zinc Die-cast housing provide maximum protection from external impacts, even in off-road environments. A robust lens retaining ring with captive M4 Allen bolts enable rapid routine service access from the front, while high temperature O-ring seals ensure effective sealing. A UV resistant multi-stage powder coating process ensures optimal corrosion protection. Accurate and stable aiming in a high vibration environment is a vital aspect of safe and legal road lighting. The non-resonant and corrosion resistant cast alloy bracket fitted to the body shape minimizes mechanical stress, and a rubber damper between the lamp and bracket eliminates metal-to-metal contact to reduce the intensity of shock and vibration communicated to the light. Two M6 Allen bolts ensures that the critical vertical aiming can be locked securely, and a M8 bolt in the base enables direct mounting onto equipment.
